Raw Beauty.

Beauty is an invisibility that only the right ones get to see; In the eyes of admirers, the lust normally over-blooded the brain. Therefore i see it, through behind my eyes ; Beauty is a feast but it doesn't feed the hungers, It only generates.; It is no more than a blessed curse, casted on the ordinaries like me to go after by all means.; It is not strong yet it makes people weak. ; It is almost describable, but never enough words can do the job.; It is occupying, like a cancer that eats all of my cells. ; It is freezing, yet it makes me sweat. ; It, is you.

Dr.M

Dr. Mahathir tells Malays to reject the borderless world.

" it implies telling Malays that they should oppose to sign the FTAs ( Free Trade Agreement)

"Here is an argument i found on the paper on the star blog by 'super_structure' "

Aren’t Singapore too a multiracial country where the government still give certain privileges to the Malays back there? The only thing with them is that they practice meritocracy and here we practice supremacy and favoritism. We have seen enough of these such as the “sympathy marks syndrome” given to genuine losers as well “apartheid” education policies where certain universities are meant exclusively for certain race so that the “sympathy marks syndrome” could continue. Need I say further?

If we have to talk about “siege mentality” and on the other hand reiterate to blindly favor & help each individual of a particular race in the name of “weak & mundur” then I think its like keeping the others in the dark feeding them nothing but pure bullsh*@ over the last few decades.

Poverty is not exclusivity for the Malays in this world as there are many out there who have similar fates and to use this as an excuse as to please the Malays for political mileage sounds disgusting. He should stop talking and get into doing a research on what went wrong in elevating the Malays if they are as backward as what he claims rather then harping on the same issues day in day out. Divide & rule, cronyism, nepotism, corruption, favoritism, supremacy, religious extremism, racial profiling and it continues…….it was part of the game for all these years.

“I am not saying that we shouldn’t sign FTAs,” said Dr Mahathir. “But we must reject clauses that will put us at the losing end.”

Without political power, the Malays would be marginalised just like the Red Indians in United States, Aborigines in Australia and Maoris in New Zealand, he said.

Dr Mahathir said there seemed to be attempts to sponsor puppet leaders to facilitate the implementation of policies that were beneficial to the Western powers.

Stand tall if you are feeling small,

Pound to pound lets go its time to lift the shit Up
Put your shoulders high now right to the roof Top
Pad your seats now straight to the sound pop
Poke the eyes out cry no more to your PaPa.

So when i say Shut you say The fuck now
Nobody's gonna bring you down
So when i say Shut you say The fuck now
Ain't nobody's gonna get you down
So when i say Shut you say The fuck now
You better stand tall or i'll break you down.

CRAZY DREAM

As i mentioned months ago that i really want to go to Afghanistan, one of the most dangerous place in the world. Well today i was searching through NewYorkTimes and found a couple of really interesting pictures of it.

Today, not much has changed in this undeveloped part of the world, and its communities continue to live isolated from Kabul or Islamabad. The millions of development dollars spent since the start of the war are seen only as the plane starts making its descent toward the Afghan capital. Suddenly the bare mountain ranges and isolated villages transform into an oasis of densely packed building structures and newly paved avenues that go on for miles. Not far in the distance, the lawless mountains that surround Kabul serve as a constant reminder of how fragile the situation remains in this war-torn country. - NYT OCTOBER 13TH

Tribute to a bruised heart.

What you had been writing has inspired my pain
Guess all the words just too magical to open up my can
All the memories ive been tryin too hard not to retain
but i can't,
To put it behind my head do it like a snap
Can't walk back neither can i ever step
Im stuck in between runnin' this fucking lap.

Her beauty clashed and knocked me black aback
Stun me off to drop the plate-rack
Paved the way im no longer a sad-sack
Space got so small yet i felt ever wanna stay

Till one day,
We hang around sitting in the starbucks
Heart pumped so hard like a moving truck
Plucked my little finger things were gettin' hot
Till one minute sweetness all got locked-
The fuck down as her ex came over and spitted shit
Before i could get the picture he pulled her over and just leave
Then is the moment i regret till this hour and eve
It feels like i wasn't made as a man to react and weave

*if 'you' are reading this and feel uncomfortable with your pic in my blog, please do let me know and ill have it removed

Pull-in

In the note i posted in february ' Pull-Out' http://sidesee.blogspot.com/2009/02/pullout.html
I mentioned, president Barack Obama is bringing home its troops after 6 years American young men crossed
the border to topple down Saddam Hussein.
At today's news, titled ' The distance between" 'We must' and ' We can' " It was noted that United States
might send over 40,000 more troops as the commanding general there, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, has reportedly proposed.
Barack Obama also described the effort in Afghanistan as
"a war of necessity"

What intrigued me enough is this paragraph.
The idea that American foreign policy must be founded upon a prudent recognition of the country’s capacities and limits, rather than its hopes and wishes, gained currency after World War II, possibly the last unequivocally necessary war in American history. At the war’s end, of course, the global pre-eminence of the United States was beyond question. But Mr. Kennan, Mr. Niebuhr, Hans Morgenthau and others tried to imbue their sometimes-grandiose fellow-citizens with a rueful awareness of the intransigence of things.
In fact, at the end of the article turned out to be quite convincing stating how it means of a war
of necessity
it is over the land of dust,
and set the distinction, differentiated 'What we must' and 'What we can'

RedDot,

Here's a brewhouse/bar that pretty much turned up to be one of my favorite.
Been there once, tried out 4 outta 6 different icy beers, won the bingo game with the jazz band. So here are just a little brief introductions.
"the beer that you drink here is unfiltered and unprocessed (straight from the tap), and thus retains all the yeast content, original favour, and unique aroma. Each beer is a delicate composition of ingredients. and the product of Ernest's decade long homebrewing experiences."

philosophy.

Im zippin' my eyes open wide tryna find the light.
Believing we can set freedom fly like a kite.
With all the complications in sight, discrimination now looks like a fight.
It shouldn't be, just a theory we tryna live.
Equality are written as some shit 'merleis' try to tease.
It ain't right, our human rights, aren't achieved even we are on our knees.
Maybe one night we will all die in sleep, and reborn in a better place where we all can speak.
The truth, where this hell doesn't permit.
The needs that we request.
Where we are all putted to rest.
Let us 'wake up and speak up' and squeeze up this test.

Re-edited '年轻‘

We all lose our hearts when we are growing up, and at the same time we trust more on others' opinions than our intuitions. We learn to live according to rules that are set by no one, We started to hate more than love. We started to act strong. Westarted refusing to cry or laugh 'cause it might makes us look fragile. We all started to enjoy watching other people getting more miserable so that we can rejoice in our own little world. We haven't forgotten h ow to speak the truth, but only we get so much better in lying. We do things different from what we say. We make promises we don't mean. We get married to someone whom we believe we will love till the end of our day. We say no to fun and adventures because we might put risks on our careers if we forgo to go to office every 9 am. We have children we don't have time to know. We work too hard so that we can get another better looking car. We read news that we don't care. We get afraid to life more than death. We are all way too 年轻 , to know LIFE is not a noun, but a verb.

'Povertry'~

*taken & written in a sleepless night
Under every street light
That shines into every late night
The evil minds have tempted
Trying to mask our faces to keep us wandered.

Weezer - Troublemaker

Put me in a special school
'Cause i am such a fool
And i don't need a single book
To teach me how to read

Who needs stupid books?
They are for pretty crooks
And i will learn by studying
The lessons in my dreams

So turn off the TV
'Cause that's what others see
And movies are as bad as
Eating chocolate ice cream

They only sicken me
Don't let me play football
I'll sake the quarterback
And jack the brother of the ball

I'm a troublemaker
Never been a faker
Doing things my own way
And never giving up

I'm a troublemaker
Not a double taker
I don't have the patience
To keep it on the up

I picked up a guitar
What does this signify?
I'm gonna play some heavy metal riffs
And you will die

You wanted arts and crafts
How's this for arts and crafts?
That's right

I'm growing out my hair
I'm moving out to Cherokee
I'm gonna be a rock star
And you will go to bed with me

'Cause i can't work a job
Like any other slob
Punchin' in and punchin' out
And sucking up to Bob

Marrying a bitch
Having 7 kids
Giving up and growing old
And hoping there's a God

*taken in a warm sunny afternoon

What i can conclude.

As dull as it might gets for certain people, i still get the sense of obligation of expressing it out. Infringing human rights is intolerable, brutalization and genocide, doubtlessly, require immediate attention of all humanity, yet it always comes back to the same old interrogation mark, as unsustainable as it is, why aren't there, have enough voices on the land of earth to back this up? Ignorance just isn't an solution for this big time issue, it may not even sounds big as long as people are not hit, in fact, its soaked into almost every corners of a nation.

Update July.

Its been ages i haven't posted up update at length.

College hasn't been different with my presence, paling up everywhere like old time. TT night ended along with my sweats and fun, the reminiscence's gonna stuck and i ain't gonna forget it in any near future. Studies haven't been such a crackdown in this dynasty for me, wingding has to be put with a period at this moment, probably this time is best to harmonize or even mutate into a typical bookworm. Emceeing hasn't come to an epilogue, Appreciation Night ill be still on the stage rapping Sean&Wythe. Time shapes what you can't expect, its ticking second and minute everyday and week. Aiight, peace out from KL to JB, to Singapore and Melbourne.

Essay.

How does globalization affect your country?

The world is becoming more globalized, there is no doubt about that. The sociologist, Anthony Giddens, defines globalisation as a decoupling of space and time, emphasising that with instantaneous communications, knowledge and culture can be shared around the world simultaneously.
While that sounds promising, the current form of globalization, neoliberalism, free trade and open markets are coming under much criticism. Thomas L. Friedman, the author of The World Is Flat, stated that the world is simply being flattened with 3 different eras of globalisation. The first lasted from 1492, when Columbus set sail, opening trade between the old world and the new world until 1800. The second great era of gobalisation lasted roughly from 1800 to 2000, interrupted by the Great Depression and World Wars one and two. The key agent of change, the dynamic force driving global integration, was multinational companies. When it comes to 2000, we have entered the 3rd era of globalisation, it gives the newfound power for individuals to collaborate and compete globally when the internet and telecommunication became popular and common in our daily lives.

Neoliberalism, in theory, is essentially about making trade between nations easier, it requires the removal of various controls deemed as barriers to free trade such as tariffs, regulations, certain standards, laws, legislation, regulatory measures and restrictions on capital flows and investment. Today then, neoliberal policies are seeing positives and negatives. Under free enterprise, there have been innovative products. Growth and development for some have been immense. Unfortunately, for most people in the world there has been an increase in poverty and the innovation and growth has not been designed to meet immediate needs for many of the world's people. Global inequalities on various indicators are sharp. For example, some 3 billion people, or half of humanity, live on under 2 dollars a day. 86 percent of the world's resources are consumed by the world's wealthiest 20 percent. Joseph Stiglitz, former World Bank Chief Economist, Nobel Laureate in Economics, notes that economic globalization in its current form risks exacerbating poverty and increasing violence if not checked, because it is impossible to separate economic issues from social and political issues. In most testbooks and classrooms, not only are these 3 fields( Economics, political science, history) of study separated, but they are futher compartmentalized into separate subfields, obscuring the close interconnections between them.

As referring to the perils of globalisatoin. The interest of powerful nations and corporations are shaping the terms of world trade. In democratic countries, they are shaping and affecting the ability of elected leaders to make decisions in the interests of their people. Elsewhere they are promoting narrow political discouse and even supporting dictatorship and the "stability" that it brings for their interest. This is to the detriment of most people in the world, while increasingly fewer people in proportion are prospering, most Malaysians are not outcasted. In fact, despite economy liberalism has leavened the pace of our country development, as behoofs are permeating into respectable aspects like education, health care, standards of living, etc. It is blemishing and worsening the gap between rich and poor, moreover, Americanisation is flawing our local unique culture and influencing our teenagers. It seems unsustainable to allow our teenagers to carry out Americanism on the land of our home country. This is actually very contradictive, because in order for "free market" to be "free", the exchange of labour, land, currency, and consumer goods must not be encumbered by elements of psychosocial integration such as clan loyalties, village responsibilities, guild or union rights, charity, family obligations, social roles or religious values. Cultural traditions "distort" the free play of the laws of supply and demand, and thus must be suppressed in order to achieve "free markets". In free market economies, for example, people are expected to move to where jobs can be found, and to adjust their work lives and cultural tastes to the demand of a global market.

The emergence of environmental issue has become a major concern of people all over the world. The question appeared after environment is bady bruised and contaminated, who's responsible for the damages? Not the owners of the company, the shareholders. Not the managers or employees, not the community, not the government. This was an unintended consequence of the corporate structure brought by globalisation, the very aspects of the company's design that made it so robust, so able to survive changes in leadership, in the economy, in technology, were the aspects that led to this result pollution that no one wanted, and everyone would pay for.

One of the arguments made for gobalization is that the world should move futher towards becoming interdependent on one another. It probably bears some merits, this way, no one will want to war with others, because they depend on each other to keep their economies alive. This sounds like a wonderful solutions to prevent future horrors such as the previous world wars.

To conclude, globalisation is happening, it is irreversible and unavoidable. The pros and cons are very controvertible. In fact, large and small protests have occured for years to cast down some WTO meetings, also at IMF, World Bank, G8 and other such summits. Protests are seen today have typically been against the current forms of globalization and the marginalization it is causing, as well as the increasing disparities between the rich and the poor that it has predictably led to already.

Gotta-run

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning a lion wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle.
When the sun comes up, you better start running.

People in places like this.

~in this high-stress environment, it is not the tension of alienation. It is the tension of success. They are dealing with the challenges of success, of high-pressure living. It is not the challenge of worrying about whether they would have a challenge.

the way to live

As i get older, uncertainty about love and happiness tends to get bigger along the way. Happiness seems like a black hole that gets wider and bigger as day goes by, it gets harder to fill stuffs in it as well. I remember when i was younger i could spend my whole evening at a simple playground with a couple of friends laughing all the time.

Now i have to sleep without my eyelids staring blindly at the ceiling wondering what to look after, to eventually cram the black hole.

I have plans, but more importantly, im also planning to be surprised. Not plainly focusing on great wealth or a success that is based fully on our own definitions.

Sometimes it really helps to state out a piece of mind which allows me to get a peace of mind. I want to be a psychologist, I like journalism, I can do business. Yet, i can only end up being one. The big problem is, which one, is going to let me cram the big black hole of life.

Also there is one thing ive wanted to say a long time ago, To live, you have to love. There isn't much differences between live and love, the only difference is an I and an O.
